Don't put it off for next week. Don't put it off for tomorrow morning. Don't put it off for another minute. Fall down on your knees now and accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.
This can be done in three steps.
A. Accept that you are a sinner, and deserve to die and go to Hell.
B. Believe in the Gospel, and believe that Jesus Christ wants to and can save you.
C. Confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord.
If you don't know the Gospel, here it is. Jesus is the only Begotten Son of God. He came from Heaven and took on the form of Man. He was born of a virgin named Mary, in fulfillment of the Scriptures. He lived a pure and sinless life. His purpose here was to die. They falsely accused Him, and sentenced Him to death. He was beaten into a bloody pulp. They nailed Him to a cross where He died. They laid Him in the tomb. On the third day, He rose from the dead. The tomb could not hold Him. He had conquered death, sin, and Satan. He rose into Heaven in great glory. He is seated on David's throne at the right hand of the Father. He offers salvation to any who ask. He mediates between Man and God, and pleads on our behalf.
Jesus wants to save you. Say yes. Say, "Yes Jesus. I know I'm a sinner, but I need you to save me. Save me from death and sin. Be my Lord and Savior."
If you have prayed this prayer and meant it, then Jesus has saved you. What does this mean?
a. You are now a son or daughter of the Living God! Reference John 1:12.
b. You are a new creature in Christ. When God looks at you, He no longer sees a worthless sinner. Now He sees His own child. You have gone from merely God's creation to God's child. This is a huge difference.
c. Your sins have been washed away in the blood of Jesus Christ. The sin debt you once owed has been paid in full.
d. 33 years of absolutely perfect and godly living (Christ's life on Earth) have been attributed to you. You have 33 good years in the "plus column".
e. God has placed His Holy Spirit inside of you to guide and teach you. God has literally taken up residence inside of you.
f. The Holy Spirit brings you some spiritual gifts. These are supernatural powers that are to be used to glorify God.
g. When you pray to God, the Holy Spirit will help you pray.
h. God has counted you righteous and fit to be His son (justification).
i. God will start cleaning sin out of your life and make you more holy (sanctification).
j. When you die, God will give you an incorruptible body like His own (glorification).
k. You will inherit the Kingdom of Heaven. When you breathe your last here, you will breathe your next on streets of gold in the presence of God and His angels.
l. You will live forever in Heaven and never die.
